I've Got You Under My Skin

Bonsoir! Valentine's Day is on its way and I thought it would be a great opportunity to share some of my favourite love cards with you, the following are from the 1930s and come from a french lady's quirky and very beautifully presented postcard book. I absolutely adore them! It is a shame that the "love letter tradition" is almost extinct, I can't imagine how she must have felt when looking back on these amazing pieces of memory!

This is one of the sweetest cards I have ever seen, written by a young boy:

"Mademoiselle Madeline I am sending you this card which I hope you will like and that you will see that I'm thinking of you, Roland told me to write this card because he wants us to start seeing each-other, with love,
Victor Briard.
VBMB for life"

I wanted to finish this post with a couple of lovely edwardian postcards:

Dear gentlemen, forget the flowers and start creating some beautiful cards for your ladies!

I Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Do you have any special plans for Valentine's Day?

Love,

Margaux
