Good day to you,
Yesterday started off in a quite a bizarre fashion for us, we were woken up by a sound that I could only describe as 'heavy window scratching', and as the window is situated right next to our bed, it was quite disturbing to be honest with you, especially as we live in a top floor flat! Soon after remembering there was scaffolding outside, we realised that our landlord must have got someone in to finally repaint our window frames and the laughter began...
Then one moment we had hail stones rattling our skylight and the next we had beautiful sunshine, so we were very bemused! Anyway, after a day of curious and comical happenings we thought it would be a good idea to go for a drive. The Sun was still shining and what could be better than finding a remote spot to watch it go down? Margaux once said "I don't know what the fuss is all about with sunsets, it's the sunrise you gotta look out for!" and I do agree, but the sky turned a beautiful apricot colour and we couldn't help but get a few snapshots.
Here is Margaux looking slightly like Charlie Chaplin minus the Moustache, miming being cold?
We found these lovely 1940s high waisted woollen slacks with a ruby red pinstripe when we last visited France and as they have a satin lining, they weren't too itchy for her to keep hold of. Good Excuse!
The coat she is wearing was handed down by her lovely Grandmother. We shall be taking a trip to France very soon so if we find a picture of her wearing it, we will make sure we post it on here.
Poor little darling was frozen to death, even though she didn't show it 'too much'.
I had a bash at trying to make the waves get angrier by singing to them and when we realised it wasn't working, we ran to the nearest Café where Margaux got a super frothy latte with a humongous piece of walnut and coffee cake and I got a cup o' tea and a slice of carrot cake!
We made this little video of our trip back, hope you like it!
We will be adding some very special items this week, so make sure to keep checking the shop. Another Beautiful Victorian Cape is on its way! We are also planning a big blog for you lovely people while we are away, showcasing some of the treasures we find so be sure to keep your peepers peeled for that aswell...
The Peppermint Beat Band have a show tonight at The Blues Kitchen in Camden which I am very excited about so I am going to have to head off now. We have had problems with the battery in the band wagon, so I better go and make sure the thing starts.
Wish me luck and have a wonderful weekend!
Much Love,
Alec
